OFFICIAL HOME OF NEW HAVEN'S YOUTH TRAVEL BASEBALL TEAM
Dear Business Owner:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Connecticut Cubs (CT Cubs). Established in 2018, CT Cubs was formed to allow a group of parent coaches to develop a year round affordable baseball program designed for young athletes in the New Haven area who are serious about travel baseball and look to compete at a local, regional and national level. CT Cubs is a competitive and developmental baseball organization for boys in grades 3rd through 8th. On and off the field, CT Cubs hopes to develop the well-rounded student athlete equipped with baseball skills, pursuing academic achievement, with a strong sense of community service.
CT Cubs programs will range from individual training, to local, regional and national team play, CT Cubs has ambitious goals that reflect the needs of New Haven’s fast growing interest in youth travel baseball. CT Cubs developmental program is focused on teaching the fundamentals of baseball while acquiring a love for the game to inner city kids, by providing clinics free of charge throughout the year. These hitting, fielding, and pitching clinics normally cost over $150 per clinic for each athlete. In addition to developmental training, the CT Cubs baseball program has environments that promote individual confidence, sportsmanship, self-esteem and leadership skills.
With the average cost to participate being several thousand dollars for each athlete per season on most travel teams, it is particularly difficult for families in the New Haven area to be able to afford travel baseball. Athletes in the New Haven area who are talented enough to play miss out on this great opportunity and experience. CT Cubs is committed in bridging that gap by keeping registration costs to a minimum, therefor allowing these talented athletes and their families the opportunity to compete in youth travel baseball at an affordable cost.
CT Cubs competitive 13U and 9U travel teams is focus on teaching the game of baseball and preparing the athletes for the next level of play in middle school, high school and beyond. The team will consist of 12-15 boys 12-13 years old, and 12-15 boys ages 9 and under, and will compete in the AAU East Shore Travel League. In addition to league competition, these teams will be preparing to compete in regional, and national tournaments. In the past the team has competed at
As a non-profit youth organization, the Connecticut Cubs is guided by dedicated parent volunteers.
